Will my new uPVC windows be of a high quality?

We only provide Rehau energy efficient windows that are rigorously tested and have been passed by governing bodies such as the British Standards Institution (BSI). Your windows will be professionally fitted at a time that fits in with you. The new windows we supply are very long lasting and low maintenance. And, we pride ourselves on high quality windows, not cheap windows with locks that break too easily – simply robust windows with secure locks that last and require very little maintenance.

Will new windows and doors add kerb appeal as well as security to my home?

New windows will always add to the visual aesthetics of your home. When old windows and doors are removed or replaced, it is often because they are old, weather worn and faded in colour. Newly fitted windows and doors look fantastic, and with a huge range of security options, you can be assured that your new products will look great and add character and charm to your property.

Are all uPVC windows and doors the same?

No. There are many different grades of uPVC (also P-vcu) and there are significant differences in each. You can find cheap budget windows and doors, and you can find high profile windows and doors that are bespoke and best suited to your home.

We offer highly graded windows and doors and will install windows that suit your home – not cheap and cheerful models.

I have a low budget, should I wait?

It is important not to cut corners. Consider the security options as cheap locks will not last and will cause you problems. The frames also determine the price, cheap frames are usually only up to a width of 55mm (from the inside to the outside). Quality frames should be at least 68mm – ours are 70mm, a guarantee that they are built for energy efficiency and are long lasting. A low cost option can end up costing you in the long term so is considered false economy.

Do you offer any type of warranty with my windows and doors?

A warranty is always left at point of sale, which covers deposit, work in progress and the warranty is registered by the house owner after work is completed underwriting my guarantee for 10 years.

Can I cancel my order if I need to?

All of our window and door products are bespoke and therefore there is no right to cancellation.

How long will it take to get my new windows and doors?

When we visit you to take measurements, we will provide you with a proposed time for installation. Following the initial 7-day 'cooling off' period, we will begin installing your bespoke windows and doors. Our customers can expect a delivery turnaround of up to three weeks. Once your windows and doors are almost ready, we will contact you to arrange a convenient time to install them in your home.

Will my windows be covered by Building Regulations?

Yes. We are FENSA registered so comply with all building regulations - our number is 11725. After installation the number of windows and doors will be registered on the fensa web site and a certificate will be sent out by FENSA.

I live in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB); do I need planning permission for a new conservatory?

Yes. There are around 40 AONB's in England and if you live in one of those, you will require planning permission. Although regulations can be strict, you can overcome issues by having a conservatory design that suits the style and character of your home, whilst not standing out and affecting the natural views that surround your property. This is the same if you live in a conservation area – style, materials and size should all be carefully considered.

If you are not living in an AONB then as long as your conservatory is no more than 4 metres high, or 3 metres if you live in a terraced property, you will not require planning permission.

How do I know where to position my conservatory?

North, South, East or West – we know planning where to locate your new conservatory can be a struggle. However, our team have outlined the following to help you with your decision. We will make suggestions and give you advice when we visit you in your home:

North facing conservatories will be cooler whilst South facing conservatories will be warmer. If you prefer to have sun in the conservatory on a morning, then an East-facing conservatory may suit. The afternoon and evening sun hits West-facing conservatories.

What type of conservatory designs can you offer?

There are so many types of styles, consideration for the type of property, the age of your home and its character should take place.

Here are the types available:

  • Victorian Conservatory
  • Edwardian Conservatory
  • Orangery
  • Georgian Conservatory
  • Gable Conservatory
  • P-Shaped Conservatory
  • Lantern Conservatory
  • Lean To Conservatory
  • L-Shaped Conservatory

Whether you wish to add charm using steep roofing, decorative detail, timber or uPVC our team will help and advise.

What kind of doors can I have in my conservatory?

This is dependent on whether you choose a traditional or contemporary style conservatory – and of course your tastes. Classic styles usually go hand in hand with patio or French doors. Modern styles with little garden or patio space often are complimented by adding sliding doors whilst contemporary styles can look great with bi-folding doors.

When our team visit you at your home, we will always discuss with you the type of look you wish to achieve. We will also take into account the way you wish to use your conservatory.

So, if you plan offices, extra sitting areas, garden rooms and more we will work with you to plan, design and install the best conservatory to suit you and your family's needs.
