This Anthrecite grey Porch with Rimini Solidor composite door with ESK 800 handle was installed for a customer in Whitstable. The old white UP2015-07-13 11.57.48CV Porch was pasted its best and my customer wanted a more contempory look.2015-07-13 11.57.26

A suggested changing the glass sealed units to Satin which would also match the sealed units in the Rimini door. The letter box was fitted into the panel next to the door rather than in the door itself.

The job took 3 days to complete.

This porch was completed in Ashford on Wednesday for an existing customer who wanted to add a porch to the front of her property.Young Porch base Young Porch

The old concrete base was taken up as this was not deep enough for new porch and wall.

A new brick wall was built to the left and UPVC frame and door was constructed to form the new Porch under the existing roof.

The base took two days to complete and the frames took one day to complete.

Monday working in Canterbury replacing an old timber framed porch with new UPVC Rehau frames and Solidor composite door. The same design door and windows was copied to keep the original design.

Comp door LewisThe front door was fitted with a lever/lever lock ,this type of lock is better suited to a porch the handle has to be lifted and key turned to lock. The door can then be left open if a parcel is being delivered.

The side window was made slightly smaller in height to allow for wheelie bin to be placed below window.

The whole job took one day to complete.

WP_000381 (Copy)Last day at Marks and got his job completed. A total over hall replacing all the rotten roof line including replacing 2 complete rafters on 2 gable ends. The old porch gone replaced with this modern looking one which looks like its always been there.

The upvc Fascia, Soffits and Guttering never need painting and although the white feather edge cladding may even look like timber that too is upvc so that also will never need painting just an occasional clean from time to time.

WP_000380The roof on the Porch was change and made to extend on to the front Fascia so the guttering could continue in one long run.

Once the porch is plastered and down lights fitted into the ceiling it will be like gaining another room for shoes and coats.

Today back at Robins in Ashford to install a window and door to make this Porch. After fitting Robins new double glazed windows at Christmas he realized just how drafty his old front door was. He did not want to replace the front steel door so I suggested fitting a Porch door and window which would eliminate any more drafts and adding another small room for shoes and coats and extra security.Once installed the Porch matched his previously installed windows and looked like it had always been there.WP_000223 (Copy)
