These windows and composite door were installed last we20150819_15484320150819_154853ek for a customer in Hereby. The old windows were beyond repair so it was time for an up date. The old tiles were removed from below the windows and replaced with 150 window cills.

A new composite door was chosen to which makes such a big difference compared to the old glass door.

New composite laminated window boards were installed inside and new Fascia, soffits and guttering installed to roof line front and back.

WP_000381 (Copy)Last day at Marks and got his job completed. A total over hall replacing all the rotten roof line including replacing 2 complete rafters on 2 gable ends. The old porch gone replaced with this modern looking one which looks like its always been there.

The upvc Fascia, Soffits and Guttering never need painting and although the white feather edge cladding may even look like timber that too is upvc so that also will never need painting just an occasional clean from time to time.

WP_000380The roof on the Porch was change and made to extend on to the front Fascia so the guttering could continue in one long run.

Once the porch is plastered and down lights fitted into the ceiling it will be like gaining another room for shoes and coats.

  3. Cladding

WP_000377 (Copy)Despite the rain today we carried on working at Marks house in Hernebay a job Pete started last week. I concentrated on replacing his old timber cladding with this new white wood grain UPVC  feather edge  cladding which is a better alternative to the commonly used shiny white  shiplap.

This looks more like the original timber but without the need to paint every few years and the only maintenance needed is a wipe over when needed.

  4. Conservatory Roofs

Today I got Neils roof finished in Birchington replacing his old lean too polycarbonate roof with a more up to date double hipped Edwardian glass roof and box gutter. The old roof made the conservatory dark  and gloomy but now the new roof  lets so much more light in making it feel a lot bigger and brighter. We also replaced the Fascia, Soffitts and Guttering above as these would be difficult to maintain.

The glass roof will be warmer in the Winter with a 1.1 u value and cooler in the summer and also less noisy when it rains when compared to the old polycarbonate.WP_000188 (Copy)WP_000217 (Copy)

The new roof total transforms the look of Neils conservatory making it feel bigger inside and more useable all year round.
